Wildlands Restoration Volunteers: Trails - Red Feather Lakes (camping involved)

  • What: Let's put the final touches on the rerouted Elkhorn Creek Trail! The Elkhorn Trail that connects the Molly Lake and Elkhorn Trailheads has been lost. An original section of the trail that traversed private land near the east end was cut off by new fencing and the Cameron Peak Fire finished the job on the west. Over the last two seasons the WRV community has been constructing a new trail where it has been lost and repairing salvageable trail to reconnect this otherwise interconnected trail system.

    • Volunteers will camp near the trail and in this first project finish connecting several completed sections with some rock structures and new tread.

    • Click here to register! (Strenuous - minimum volunteer age 16, with an adult)

  • When: 9:00 a.m., Saturday, May 13th - 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 14th

  • Where: Red Feather Lakes, Larimer County, 80545 CO
