Wildlands Restoration Volunteers: Families - Lafayette (bilingual event)
What: Help connect families to nature! WRV is partnering with several community groups this year to help connect youth and families to local natural areas and public lands. We will be continuing our partnership with Nature Kids/Jovenes de la Naturaleza, which engages youth and families in the City of Lafayette. For this project, we'll be cutting perennials, removing invasive species, and adding new materials to the nature play area at the Sanchez Elementary Discovery Zone in Lafayette. We're looking for Crew Leaders to support families in learning how to identify and remove invasive species and in helping young people make meaningful connections with the outdoors.
This project will be primarily in Spanish but is open to English-speaking volunteers who are interested in practicing their Spanish, or who want to participate in a bilingual event.
