Wildlands Restoration Volunteers: Habitats - Daniels Park

Wildlands Restoration Volunteers: Habitats - Daniels Park

  • What: Restore a park known for its views & bison herd! Help the native vegetation recover at this open space south of Denver known for its scenic bluffs, lookouts, and bison herd. Activities may include seeding, planting, mulching, or constructing wood fencing to protect recovering areas and direct users to designated trails.

    • Daniels Parks, part of the Denver Mountain Parks system, draws nature-lovers for its panoramic views of the mountains along the Front Range. Its convenient location means it was getting badly trampled by the number of visitors, and the quality of habitat was being impacted by a mess of unsanctioned trails. You can help reverse this trend by closing and restoring damaged areas. Join a WRV crew in this ongoing project to bring back the greenery!

    • This project is suitable for beginners and experienced volunteers alike. We will have trained crew leaders to make sure you have a great project and learn something new! This project is being completed in conjunction with new sustainable trails and amenities being added by Denver Mountain Parks.

    • Click here to register! (Moderate - minimum volunteer age 14, with an adult)

  • When: Saturday, May 13th; 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
