Fungal Friends: DIY Mushroom Cultivation

  • Friends Farm (Nyland Cohousing) 3525 Nyland Way Lafayette, CO, 80026 United States (map)

What: Ever thought about growing your own mushrooms?

Come learn about a range of techniques for cultivating mushrooms, both indoor and outdoor! Zane will root us in as we take a look at log plugging, building a mushroom bed or at home cultivation where you can just use what you have around the house.

We will also look at how mushrooms are used on the farm and how they can benefit the health of your own garden.

About Zane;

Zane has been growing mushrooms for 8 years. He sold at farmers markets before setting up a grow for an ag community in Ohio where he also used mushrooms in permaculture landscapes and designs.

Zane is fascinated by the relationships we find in nature which led to his mushroom interest, as they are the driver of connection in many ecosystems.
