Wildlands Restoration Volunteers: Seeds - Summit Lake

Wildlands Restoration Volunteers: Seeds - Summit Lake

  • What: Restore alpine tundra on a signature WRV seed collection project! Summit Lake is located alongside the highest paved road in America, just below the summit of 14,265-foot Mount Evans (soon to be renamed Mount Blue Sky). Due to the popularity of this area, the park has been heavily impacted. Volunteers will collect native seed to restore and protect the fragile alpine tundra. This seed will be grown out into seedlings to be planted by volunteers at future restoration projects.

    • WRV has been working in this majestic alpine area for over a decade with amazing results. Great views and wildlife sightings are practically guaranteed!
