Tu B'shevat Seder - Rooted in Soil

What: Join the Boulder Jewish Community Center to celebrate Tu B'Shevat, one of the four "New Years" in the Jewish Calendar, with the 15th of the Hebrew month Shevat celebrating the New Year of the Trees. The community is invited to enjoy a meal and explore the central role soil plays in our environment and climate. Lauren Gifford, Associate Director of the Soil Carbon Solutions Center at Colorado State University, will share her work harnessing the power of soils to restore our climate and support a thriving people and planet. Learnings will be rooted in Jewish tradition through ritual, text exploration, and service.

  • Details:

    • Tree fruits and grape juices, along with a delicious catered meal will be provided. The event it tailored toward adults and anyone 12 years of age and older.
