• What: The 2023 Great Boulder Duck Race is set for August 27th, 11:00 a.m. at Scott Carpenter Pool! Who will take the victory in this year's team adoption competition? As we waddle towards race day, people are flocking together to create duck adoption teams, and you can join too! How can you help? Start a team, adopt a duck, make an in-kind prize donation, or sponsor a partner duck! Keep reading for more!

  • How to Start a Team:

    • Visit PLAY Boulder’s race page to start or join a team today.

    • Set your fundraising goal and customize your page by adding a little about yourself and why you support PLAY. 

    • Send your team page to your friends, family, coworkers, or anyone else you want to support you.

    • Your supporters can “adopt a duck” 

    • See how close you can get to your goal, or challenge your team to beat it!

    • Join PLAY Boulder on race day, Aug 27th, 2023 to see your ducks compete!

  • How to Adopt a Duck:

    • Each duck you adopt acts as a donation to PLAY Boulder. You can adopt a duck individually or through a team, or you can create your own adoption team.

      • BONUS: Duck adoptions enter you into a prize drawing!

About the Great Boulder Duck Race:

• The Great Boulder Duck Race was founded in 1988 and has since become a beloved Boulder tradition. We invite the whole community to adopt a duck, partner with us, or provide an in-kind donation to serve as a prize for our drawing at the event.
