Open Reception for "Colorado Grasslands Interpreted Through Textiles"

  • NoBo Bus Stop Gallery (map)
  • What: Experience the beauty and complexity of Colorado’s grasslands through the lens of textile art. This exhibition, presented by the Handweavers Guild of Boulder, showcases diverse artistic interpretations inspired by the natural history and urgent conservation needs of our grasslands.

Grasslands are a vital yet threatened biome, supporting unique ecosystems across the globe. This exhibit highlights not only their ecological significance but also the challenges they face from climate change, urban sprawl, and agricultural development. In Colorado, grassland conservation has taken on new importance, especially in the wake of the Marshall Fire.

This collection of textile art reflects the creativity and dedication of HGB members as they respond to the plight and beauty of our nearby grasslands.
