What: This gathering will dive a little deeper into the roots of the well-known "Mesoamerican triad" or "three sisters", sharing ancient tales and stories shared from generation to generation by our grandparents, to understand a little more the value and cultural and spiritual meaning that these plants and foods have for us The Mexica Aztecs and other different tribes of Mesoamerica.
Focused on the ancient system of the "milpa", practice traditional techniques of planting and harvesting corn, beans and pumpkin "three sisters" as well as other types of vegetables, medicinal plants and edible herbs which complement the milpa creating a natural harmony of which we are also part. "Offering a little work is the least we can give in exchange for everything that Mother Earth gives us in abundance without asking us for anything in return." Hosted by Harvest of All First Nations.
