Boulder Audubon Teen Naturalists: Birds & Butterflies

What: Join this free event, hosted by Boulder County Audubon as part of their Teen Naturalist program for bird and butterfly hike in upper Gregory and Long canyons with Steve Jones and Yan Chun Su.

The program will involve a 3 mile hike through one of the most secluded canyons in the Boulder Mountain Park system. During the walk teens will use ecosystem stewardship methodology to count butterflies and record behaviors of nesting birds.

Details:

    • This trip is open to middle and high school students and recent graduates. Younger students may also participate but a parent must attend. Loaner binoculars are available for those who would like borrow a pair. Please request these when you register.

  • When: Saturday, June 22, 2024; 7:30-11am.

Where: Realization Point parking area, 3.2 miles up Flagstaff Mountain Road.
