"From 2000 to 2010, 25 percent of American Indians and Alaska Natives (AIAN) were consistently food insecure, double the rate of white Americans. This trend continued from 2010 to 2020 where AIAN food insecurity was roughly double, and at times triple, the food insecurity white people faced. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated food insecurity among AIAN communities. A recent study by the Native American Agriculture Fund found that during the pandemic, 56 percent of survey respondents across the country experienced food insecurity, with 31 percent experiencing very low food security (the most severe form of food hardship)" (The Historical Determinants of Food Insecurity in Native Communities | Center on Budget and Policy Priorities)

Join us in our ongoing work to directly serve, uplift, and educate BIPOC+ communities to reduce food insecurity. Harvest of All First Nations seeks to serve 2,500 individuals and families in 2023 through our programs like Food Justice & Sovereignty Land Stewardship, where we grow organic food regeneratively in Boulder County, offer stipends to BIPOC+ participants to learn to grow food this way, and then provide and deliver this food to local & Indigenous food insecure families at no cost to them. Our vision is to facilitate healing in this and many other ways for our BIPOC+ communities locally and on reservations in need.

"According to the USDA, in 2021, nearly 20% of Black individuals lived in a food insecure household. In addition, Black people are almost three times as likely to face hunger as white individuals." (Food Insecurity in Black Communities | Feeding America)

"In 2019 the food insecurity rate among Blacks was 22%
The food insecurity rate among Native Americans was 27%
The food insecurity rate among Latinos was 18%
The food insecurity rate among Pacific Islanders was 21%"
