Wildlands Restoration Volunteers: Weeds - Myrtle Spurge

Wildlands Restoration Volunteers: Weeds - Myrtle Spurge

  • What: Dig up Myrtle Spurge before it takes over our beloved state. Protect native plants and wildlife by joining the fight and pulling Myrtle Spurge in the foothills near Boulder. This project will be in and around Boulder County's Betasso Preseve. Exact locations for Myrtle Spurge eradication are determined in the weeks leading up to events through coordination with private landowners.

    • Myrtle Spurge is an A-listed, aggressive and toxic invasive plant in Colorado. Our task is to prevent further spread and eradicate it at the source wherever found! WRV has established a dynamic regional partnership which will tackle this weed at multiple sites across the Front Range. That's where you come in! Join us on one or more of these dates to dig up this weed before it takes over our beloved state. Become a Weed Warrior, join the movement! Please note these projects ARE rated strenuous. Pulling often takes place on steep, rocky slopes, but that's what makes it great for getting outside and active!

  • When: Saturday, May 6th; 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
