Wildlands Restoration Volunteers: Rivers - Cascade Creek Stream Restoration (camping involved)

  • What: Build in-stream structures to improve water quality! After the Cameron Peak wildfire, vegetation was burned so heavily that it led to major sediment runoff. The construction of in-stream structures is a natural way to help catch that sediment. These structures also help promote a healthy river and build better riparian habitat. Join us Labor Day weekend to help our watersheds!

    • The material that we'll be using to construct these structures will be generated by volunteer chainsaw operators during the separate Forests: Cascade Creek Fire Mitigation project. This project will also include willow planting if you would like a less strenuous option.

    • Camping is involved in this project.

    • Click here to register! (Moderate - minimum volunteer age 16, with an adult)
