Wildlands Restoration Volunteers: Families - Lafayette (bilingual event)
What: Have fun and make an impact at the Greenlee Wildlife Preserve! Join us at Greenlee Wildlife Preserve in Lafayette. This area is an oasis for avian species, fox, coyote and amphibians. We will be removing invasive cattails from the preserve to reduce competition for native plants that provide better habitat for local wildlife. This project continues our partnership with Nature Kids/Jovenes de la Naturaleza and the City of Lafayette and is open to Crew Leaders and volunteers who are interested in helping families and youth connect to nature!
This project will be primarily in Spanish but is open to English-speaking volunteers who are interested in practicing their Spanish, or who want to participate in a bilingual event.
