Tree Tender Training

What: Become a neighborhood tree champion! Tree Tenders are given the tools to plant and care for trees in their own communities. Learn all about tree care, planting, and community organizing in this multi-day workshop hosted by the PLAY Boulder Foundation's Tree Trust. Topics include identification, biology, common myths, care & pruning, planting & irrigation, and community organizing. You will be joining a network of tree lovers with the goal of growing the urban tree canopy in the City of Boulder.

  • Details:

    • Cost: $40/person, financial assistance available. Inquire by emailing mike@playboulder.org.

    • Tree Tender trainings occur over the course of 3 days: March 5, 12, and 19 2024, from 5:00-7:30pm (food provided).

  • When: The first workshop is on Monday, March 5, 2024; 5-7:30pm.

  • Where: The Farmhouse at Valmont Bike Park.
