PPAN Webinar: Carpe Noctem - The Wonderful World of Bats

What: Join PPAN for their monthly webinar series featuring bat expert Dr. Rick Adams from the University of Northern Colorado! Bats are the second most diverse Order of Mammals on Earth today. With more than 1,450 species, bats provide critical ecosystem functions that support healthy and vibrant food webs. As nocturnal predators they consume large numbers of insects that protect forests and croplands as well as reduce the spread of zoonotic diseases such as West Nile Virus and Malaria. Occurring on every continent except Antarctica, bats also pollinate and disperse the seeds of more than 600 plant species worldwide. Come learn about the unique anatomy, physiology, behavior, evolution, and ecology of bats that make them one of the most unique groups of animals in nature!
