Harlequin's Gardens: Biodiversity and Pollinator Support, with Andrea Montoya (Part 1)
What: Planning and planting for extreme Climate Change means planting for biodiversity. But it can be overwhelming to both understand what that means and how to implement it. Please join Andrea for an empowering discussion of how to positively impact Climate while growing the plants that support carbon sequestration and provide habitat and sustenance for our Native Pollinators and songbirds. You will come away with a better understanding of what Climate Change means and how Native Plants lead to biodiversity that supports our environment.
Andrea Montoya is the creator and director of the Pollinator Advocate (PA) Program for the City of Boulder. She initiated the Pollinator Corridor Habitat in central Boulder in late 2015 and works with community members to implement native habitat throughout the city. Andrea is also the Urban Biodiversity Coordinator consulting for Boulder’s Climate Action Initiative. She presented two consecutive years for the Colorado Pollinator Summit, as well as being a Keynote speaker for the People & Pollinators Action Network and presenter for the Audubon society.
