Garden Planning Workshop [FULL]

  • East Boulder Community Center (map)

What: THIS EVENT IS FULL

Why should we settle for unattractive, unsustainable landscaping when we can cultivate a place we love?

This program will present general principles of ecosystem gardening and outline the process of creating a feasible plan including site assessment, goal-setting, budgeting, design, and phasing. The instructor will cover the steps of converting conventional landscapes to a thriving habitat that can support better soil health, lower water use, and higher biodiversity. Students will be able to make initial steps in identifying opportunities and challenges in their landscapes, as well as develop a rough phasing plan for transforming their landscapes. Students will also gain access to educational resources that can help them on their gardening journey.

Participants should bring:

Basic overhead sketch of your landscape (does not need to have exact dimensions, but a general idea of size is helpful)

A sense of what is working and what isn’t in your landscape
