Bumble Bee Atlas: Mountain States Virtual Training

What: What is the Bumble Bee Atlas? The Atlas is a community (aka citizen or participatory) science project aimed at gathering the data needed to track and conserving bumble bees. The information that we have suggests that many species of bumble bees face an uncertain future, but we lack the data needed to implement effective conservation measures, especially at the regional scale. "Community science" means anyone is welcome to participate and help contribute to a better understanding of bumble bee needs.

This webinar is intended for participants who wish to take part in the 2024 season of the Montana or Mountain States (Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada) Bumble Bee Atlas. During this webinar, we will provide clear guidance on how to participate in the Atlas, including how to conduct your own survey, where and when to survey, what supplies you'll need, and how to submit your data. Registration is required to join the webinar.
