Whenever possible it’s important we work to reduce waste and consume responsibly by shopping local, buying used, and sharing, borrowing/lending, and reusing what we have.
Buying from local farmers who are investing in our soils, or even growing your own organic food, is a wonderful way to support nature-based climate solutions.
Shop at Boulder’s Farmers market, held on Wednesdays and Saturdays during growing season at 13th St and Canyon Blvd! SNAP participants can use “double-up” benefits at the farmers market.
Visit local farms and farm stands. Many of our partners are farmers who produce some amazing food! SNAP participants can use double-up bucks at our partners farm stands - Jack’s Solar Garden in Longmont and Growing Gardens in Boulder.
Frequent Boulder businesses that participate in Zero Foodprint’s program! These businesses are committed to donating 1% of sales to support local regenerative farming. You can find a list of participating businesses here.
Look for products with the new “Bee Better” certification, the only third-party pollinator certification accepted by all retailers, developed by our partner Xerces Society.

MASA Seed Foundation focuses directly on growing and adapting Farm and Garden Seeds for local and national distribution. Their Mission/vision entails securing a Front Range Seed Bank of tried and true, rigorously selected heirloom and traditional food plant varieties that are adaptable to climate shifts and front range soils.
Jack’s Solar Garden hopes to inspire the community to support local farmers as they embark on creative paths to better our community with locally produced foods and solar power.
Zero Foodprint (ZFP) is a nonprofit organization mobilizing the food world around agricultural climate solutions. ZFP members crowd-fund grants for farmers to switch to regenerative farming practices.
Grow Your Own Meal’s mission is to revitalize local agriculture. We source resources for farmers, their families & the community in support of the development of innovative, sustainable & ecologically safe farming techniques helping to both preserve and grow the agricultural roots of Boulder County.
